ABOUT BERMUDA
While many think of Bermuda as a tourist destination offering warm weather, sunny beaches and more golf courses per square mile than any other country, Bermuda also enjoys a reputation as one of the world’s leading financial services centres. With banking, insurance and reinsurance as cornerstones of Bermuda’s business since the 1960’s, the Island offers not only world class professional expertise and intellectual capital; it houses the top four accountancy firms, international law firms and a world class telecommunications infrastructure. The legal system and regulatory framework also make the island a very attractive proposition for both businesses and professionals considering relocating.
Bermuda is located in the Atlantic Ocean, 570 miles (1,046 km) directly east of the coast of North Carolina, and can be accessed by air directly from gateway cities including New York, Boston, Baltimore, New Jersey and Philadelphia (all around two hours), Atlanta and Toronto (both around three hours) and London (about 7 hours).
